The historic Singer Band of Mechanicsburg, PA is an all-volunteer concert band, based near Harrisburg in Central Pennsylvania . The band was originally known as the Keystone Band but changed its name to the Seventh Pennsylvania Voluntary Infantry Band when its members joined the service during the Civil War.

After the war, the band reorganized under the direction of David Singer and became the Singer Cornet Band.

Membership is open to all musicians who enjoy playing brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. We rehearse, or play concerts weekly. If you are interested in joining the group, please phone 717-579-8924 . Musicians of all ages who can play band music at the high school-graded level are encouraged to join us.

The repertoire of the The Singer Band consists of a variety of styles, including big band standards, marches, show tunes, popular hits, novelty numbers, and classical favorites.

The Singer Band is supported by the Mechanicsburg Recreation Board.
